At Arlington Dental Arts, we believe there is a strong relationship between dental health and overall health. This is why we’re dedicated to providing our patients with high-quality, comprehensive dental treatments, ranging from routine cleanings and exams to intensive restorative procedures such as crowns and dental implants. Our goal is to keep you and your smile happy and healthy for a lifetime.

Preventive Treatments

Routine preventive care is essential to keeping serious issues at bay and avoiding invasive and costly procedures in the future.

If you experience headaches or jaw pain, you may grind or clench your teeth at night. Intense grinding can lead to extra wear and tear on your teeth that can eventually cause cracks and breaks. Our Arlington Heights dental team can create a custom-made nightguard for you to wear each night that will help stop intense grinding and protect your teeth from future damage.

For teens participating in sports, injury to teeth and mouth is a constant concern. We can make a mold of your child’s teeth and create an athletic mouthguard that will help protect against injury and damage that could require costly repairs.

Restorative Treatments

Dental Implants, Restorative Dentistry

If you have teeth that are cracked, damaged, or decaying, our restorative treatments can help restore your smile to a healthy and beautiful state.

At your Arlington Heights dental office, we prefer to use biocompatible composite materials when filling cavities. Compared to traditional amalgam (silver) fillings, composite fillings look and feel more natural, plus their placement is less invasive and leaves behind more of your healthy tooth structure.

Crowns, or caps, are restorations placed on teeth that are cracked, chipped, broken, or need additional strength after weakening forces such as grinding. The creation and placement of crowns used to take at least two visits to our office, but with the advanced CEREC® system, we are able to model, create, and place crowns in just one appointment.

Dental bridges replace one or more missing teeth when connected to crowns. When there is a gap in teeth, the surrounding teeth tend to shift positions. Bridges help prevent this shifting, keeping you from needing more extensive, and expensive, work done later. If you need to replace a few missing teeth, bridges provide a more permanent, comfortable, and affordable alternative to dentures.

When your natural teeth have failed, dentures are a great restorative solution to give your smile a second chance. At Arlington Dental Arts, we use only the best materials to create your dentures. Modern and improved methods also mean that dentures look more natural than ever before. Dentures help maintain the shape of your face when you have missing teeth.

The fabrication and fitting of your new dentures can take three to four appointments, but you’ll see that it is well worth the wait when you have a beautiful new smile to show off. With a little practice, your new dentures will have you enjoying your favorite foods, speaking with greater ease, and smiling with confidence once again!

Dental implants are the preferred method for replacing one or more missing teeth. Implants consist of a titanium post that is placed into your jaw where the missing tooth would be. The biocompatible material fuses with your jawbone to create a solid and secure foundation for future restorations.

Our Arlington Heights dental team specializes in implant restorations, which include crowns and bridges placed on top of implants to replace broken, cracked, or missing teeth. Implants can also be used to stabilize dentures that are ill fitting. Customized dentures are attached to individual implants, or even a row of implants, to help keep your denture securely in place.

When most people hear the phrase “root canal,” their initial thought is a painful procedure that they would rather avoid. If you’re experiencing tooth pain due to infection, though, that pain is typically worse than any pain you might feel during a root canal. Your Arlington Heights dental team is here to help relieve that pain and save your tooth.

During root canal therapy, we will gently remove the inflamed or infected tooth pulp and clean out the inside of the tooth. The internal part of your tooth is then filled and sealed in preparation for the crown that will go on top.

If you constantly cover your smile because of chipped teeth and unsightly gaps, porcelain veneers could help you get a smile you want to show off. Veneers are thin sheets of porcelain that are bonded to your teeth to change the size, shape, and even color of your teeth.

Porcelain Veneers - Before and After

After consulting with you about your smile goals, Dr. Varchetto will create a model of your new look and then create custom-made veneers to help you achieve your new look. The veneers are then bonded directly to the front side of your teeth for a dramatic smile makeover.

Do you want a brighter, whiter smile? Our professional whitening options will help you get the smile of your dreams in no time at all.

Come into our office for our one-visit whitening treatment. In a single, one-hour visit to our office, we can brighten your smile up to eight shades. Yellowing, coffee stains, and other discolorations don’t stand a chance against our whitening system.

If whitening in the comfort of your own home is more appealing, we offer custom whitening trays and professional strength whitening gel. We’ll make a mold of your teeth and create trays just for you. Use the whitening gel on a schedule recommended by Dr. Varchetto to get a dazzlingly white smile.
